ohh crap

i bought my 92 rs with frame damage for 500 bucks. the damage seems to be caused by a idiot dropping the car onto a jack stand. its pushing my floor up about a inch. im wondering what would be the best game plan to tackle this problem. my brother came up with the idea of cutting out a piece of floor section so i could get a 2x4 and a hammer and beat it out but im not sure i want to remove it, repair it ,and beef it up with some thick steel so i have a better welding surface fora cage and subframe connectors later.

The frame is tweaked from a jack stand? Or is the floor just bent?

Did you think about using a block of wood and a brass mallet? You could just do that if the floorpan has a nice dent in it...

if its just the floor thats pushed up, i'd get a large block of wood and a bigasshammer and pound away.

sorry no camera the frame looks pretty smashed as if someone had a suv jack jacked up real high didnt pay attention and let it slam on the frame pushing the floor board and the frame piece up. The trans mount(or where it connects) also looks mangled in a similiar fashion but it seems like its from rust. ill see if i cant get some photos or borrow a camera from somebody
