What do you do to keep your interior in good shape???

Just curious as to what you guys do to keep your interior in good shape and as few rattles as possible? I'm looking at getting a 3rd gen but one of the biggest issues I had with my previous car was its pile of crap interior. The previous owners were NOT nice to it. But a guy I knew in HS had a great interior that was much quieter than mine. I will NOT buy a car with a bad interior but what tips can you give me on keeping it up, in good shape, not just dash treatments but seals, electronics etc.

any sort of "rattling" from the plastic components in the interior can mostly be fixed by double stick tape...just stick some behind the peice and push it against whatever spot it touches on the car...stops the rattling, and you will never even see the tape
