Bumper cover swap
Hey guys, I've been reading this board for a few years now and just decided to register as a user. I've been a fourth gen guy for a while w/ my 97 LT1 Camaro w/ some mods, I've owned a 1991 firebird for a while now. About a year ago I smashed into a culvert. ( Long story) My question to you guys is, I had a banshee style bumper cover on stock, can i put on a trans am style bumper cover w/ out any modification, for those who dont know what I'm talking about my stock bumper cover is the round shaped one, I want the square trans am cover. Can I do this, If so what year cover do I need? Thanks in advance guys.

i think you wanna look for an 85-90 cover. but be prepared to deal with overheating problems.

Assuming that you mean the 85-90 Trans Am nose:
You can but you will need to replace a couple other things in the proccess. I believe you will need to get the correct bumper honeycomb.
Do you already have ground effects? If so, then you will just need to get the front fender ground effects for the trans am nose. The 91 front ground effects will not match the new nose. If you don't, then you will need to buy ground effects all the way around including a new rear bumper. You have to do this since the front bumper groundeffect is molded into the nose and cannot be separated.
You will also need the 85-90 headlight assemblies since they have that lip that can be from the outside of the car. Will also need the parking light assemblies.
