Is the "big block" hood also known as the super duty hood? If so I dont know if that would be the best choice. Firebirds have a more sweeping front end line than the camaros do, and the super duty hood goes back into a 3.5" or so cowl which is about 2/3 the width of the hood. It may be just me, but I think they are better suited for the camaros which have a straighter body line from front to back.

Personally I think that a RAI or 2.5-3" cowl hood looks the best on the birds.

Heres a picture of the super duty on a Trans Am.

PS. If the big block hood isnt the super duty hood and Im mistaken, just ignore my whole post here.

i think you are right about the super duty hood on both name and comaro styling is a tab better for it. i also think the ram air I hood is best looking on the bird but im optiong for the ram air II because of engine combo for when my 383 is done and i want to make sue to have some room and they are functunal now for tbi and carb cars.

ya maybe your right. but i just love the way them look from the front of the car. for the picture, i think that if the cowl was'nt so straight up and down it the back it would look way better, maybe with the cowl more rounded like ra2 hood it would look better on the gta.
thanks for the pic
