door conversion

Is it possible to take a door with roll up windows, and swap in the internals from a power window unit?

Yes, it is possible. I've done this on a few different makes of cars. You'll need to drill out the rivets that hold the regulator to the door. Swap in the power unit and the wiring and switches and you are good to go. You can do the same with the power locks. And power mirrors if you really want. Just be careful if you find yourself separting a power window motor from the regulator. If you find motor/regulator assemblies, then you won't need to bother, but if you do separate the motor from the regulator for any reason, be very careful because it will remove body parts such as fingers and arms if you fail to properly secure the arm assembly.
