91 firebird hood strut screw help

Car: 1991 pontiac firebird
Engine: 305 V8 flo-pro exhaust
Transmission: automatic 700r4 4speed
Axle/Gears: stock 2.73's :(
91 firebird hood strut screw help

alright i just got my cowl hood i want to put on my 91 firebird i open the hood look at the struts theres these screws that are really pissing me off there not stripped they have the phillips groove in them but the problem is the screw top is like FLAT as in i can put in a screwdriver and screw it out it has got to be the stock hood screws because its the same stock hood thats on this car and i dont think it has been takin off before does any1 have the same kinda screws holdin there hood up ?? im dying to get the stock hood off n get this bad boy on !!!

You just undo the 2 bolts holding the hinge to the hood. You shouldn't have to remove any screws? The hood struts themself just pop off the hinge.
