hood gap help

Car: 1991 pontiac firebird
Engine: 305 V8 flo-pro exhaust
Transmission: automatic 700r4 4speed
Axle/Gears: stock 2.73's :(
hood gap help

alright i just got in my fiberglass hood and i got the hood aligned and all but theres a gap on the front and u could see that its not flush with the headlights closed its sticks above it a little bit i tried adjustting the rubbers and no nothing i had 2 sets of hood springs so i cut it and it did hit flush but then again my hood wouldnt open cuz the spring was too short and i also lowered the the hood latch and it still sticks any1 got ne ideas to close this gap ?

I just cut a few coils off of my spring...and it fixed mine perfectly..
