Ok I am a bit confused as to what tail lights came on what year Camaros. I have a 91 and it has the grid type lenses. Is this the correct lense for this car? Any help would be great. I have searched and found various lenses on our cars and some that were different on the same year cars. So let me know!! L8RS!

 

You have the correct lights.

There were two types of lights; single line style, and grid style.

82-84 Camaros- Single line
85-92 Camaro Iroc-z and Z28's- Grid style
85-88 Camaro Sport Coupe/Berlinetta's- Single line
89-90 Camaro RS- Single line
91-92 Camaro RS- Grid style

 

Oh ok thanks for the help. Why the heck did GM change back and forth so much on the lights, that seems weird to me.

 

Yeah I always found that puzzling as well.

 

they really didnt just at first the grids were standard on the irocs and z28s starting in 85...then come 91 they just made it standard on all of the models (RS and Z28)

85-92 grid was standard on Irocs and Z28s
91-92 came standard for RS
