hatch guides?
Hey guys, I was in the junkyard and I saw a fairly nice 1991 Firebird sitting there. But what caught my eye were these two little black pieces on the rear quarter panels right where the hatch lines up with the quarter panels. I think they are held in with two little screws or something. They seem to be little guides or like the rubber things used for the hoods on the fenders to keep things nice and aligned and what not. They seem to prevent the hatch from rubbing directly against the body. Anyone got any info on these? My 89 doesn't have them. Just screw them into mine?

My Camaro has them. I think they're riveted on so it may be a bit of a pain to swap them. But I could be wrong.
It's worth a try.

That's correct, they are riveted on. My Camaro has them too. Here is a pic showing the rivets. It should be possible to drill out the rivets and move the peices to the new car.
