Hood problems...

Hey everyone, I have got a little bit of a problem here. I have a 1990 RS with the stock hood, but the thing is, the hood won't close all the way. It will latch and stay down and everything and won't pop up at all, but there is a small gap between where the hood is supposed to match up with the nose. It is very annoying to look at and the car would look so much better if I could just get the hood to close all the way. So... can anyone help me? Thanks in advance.

Well there are the two little bump stop spring things on each side of the engine bay that can be adjusted to the proper height to line everything up..not sure if it helps but it is worth a try.

Thanks for the advice, however it didn't work :P. I did make one discovery though, I found what looked like some bondo work on the hood, so now I think that it was damaged and I might be better off just getting a new hood. What do you guys think?
