Switching 98-02 Auto topplate, to manual top plate, interchangable?

Car: 94 S10 soon to be 305TBI, 01 Blazer
Engine: 4.3 TBI, 4.3 CPI "01 Blazer"
Transmission: 4L60E's
Switching 98-02 Auto topplate, to manual top plate, interchangable?
Ive done some searching and still no answer to my question, I have the 4 cupholder console and want to install it in the formula, I dont want to mess with the shifter assembly, I know a manual console is easier to work with. Here's the question, Will the top plate for a manual shift w/boot work in place of the automatic shift top plate, is it a simple switch? All help appreciated!
