we painted it...problems

hey
My friend and I did the body work and paint job on his 1984 Trans am (Hes poor lol) anyway you know when you over spray when painting the car and you can see the paint runs when it drys? Do you have to repaint it again, or can it be wet sanded off? If so will wet sanding damage the clear coat or anything?

I dont know what he did when he paint the door jams but on hot days the paint get sticky as if its wet? the weather stripping even sticks to it? Whats up with this? can it be fixed? He did the door jams awhile back and he did up the paint too so i dont know what he did. Any help on this would be great, but other then that i the car looks good.

Thanks in advance

Jason

Are the runs in the paint or the clear? If its in the paint then yes you will have to go through the clear to get to it.

you can scrape the runs off with a razor blade. just tape the edges of the blade so you dont cut into the clear. then just wet sand it with 1500 and or 2000. wet sanding clear does not damage the clear unless you sand through then you will have to repaint. as far as the door jambs go he probably mixed it wrong and it just taking a really long time to dry.
