will c5 vette wheels fit on thirdgens w/ spacers?
the sizes being 17 x8.5 18x9.5
i would only need 2 spacers correct? also. ive notice vetter wheels now come with tire sensors. is there anyway you could use these on thirds? i dont understand how the tire pessure sensors or what ever there called mount

sizes are 245/45/17 up front and 275/40/18 in the rear

 

Yes they will with the right spacers. You will need 2" spacers all around. Some here claim that they could get away with 1.75" but it would come down to what size rim and tire combo.

I bought 2 18x9.5 and 2 18x10.5 zo6s. I also bought some hoosier drag radials (275/35 and 285/35). I won't be able to mount them for a while but after researching they should fit. I will be using 2" spacers.

Do a search for adapters and you will find a link for skulte (sp?). He can answer all of your questions as well as provide spacers.

 

as far as the tire sensors, you can either leave them in the wheels and they will just work as fancy valve stems, or you can take them out and use regular valve stems in place of them. if you leave them in they wont do anything for you since you wouldnt have the rest of the system integrated in the vehicle like a vette does, but they still do the job of a valve stem.

I would personally take them out and use regular stems

 

Got a buddy of mine putting Z06 wheels on his '91 T/A. They actually look pretty sweet on there with 275/40/17 tires.

 

spacers all depend on rim size and backspacing, regardless of what they are from.. for the newer vette wheels, 2" should do it... older vette wheels (ZR1 for instance) would require some research for the backspacing

 

I am running C5 wheels on my car and I have no issues... 18 x 9.5 on all 4 corners. 2.25" spacer on the front and I have only a finger between the tire and strut, so 2" may be rough, but it depens on the backspacing of the rim. I am also running a 99 Z rear so no spacer was needed for the rear.
