The limits of bondo?
I am going to attempt and fix an aerowing that was shipped to me broken. The arms are the part that are all busted up. My goal is to take the arms from an older rubber aerowing and use them in place. But I will need something to cover the seams and sculpt a bit. I mean smooth out where the rubber comes out and under the plastic wing.
Can I use bondo? Will it hold in the long run? I mean with the wind and closing of the hatch and all? If not, any recommendations?
Thanks.

Well.
Stock aerowings are garbage. If its not cracking yet, it will be soon unfortuneately, my TTA is a victim of this too.
Is it broken or is it cracking from the steel bar rusting and expanding inside? They break off or break at existing cracking points?
I would use something stronger and that has more adhesive power than bondo if I was trying to fix it.
Like skip right to using fiberglass.
Wonder about mixing too much stuff with the urethane(I believe) wing however. Might want to test in a non noticeable spot first.

Well, my wing is the 91-92 plastic style. It broke at the arms that attach by the glass. I was wondering if the bondo is a good sculpter.
Fiberglass is out of the question, at least right now.
