I just came across an 86 IROC that's in relatively good shape for having sat on a trailer for roughly ten years. The only thing on the body that needs immediate attention is a giant battery-shaped hole in the engine compartment where the battery was.
Yup, the battery ate right on through.
So, I'm on a bit of a budget, with limited knowledge of body work. I also have to move this about 60 miles to its new home in about a month and a half, and would rather drive it than put it on a trailer.
Anywho, what would you do in my situation? I'm open to any and all recommendations and am eager to learn.
P.S. I apologize if this is a frequent topic and I missed it in my search.
yup, thats the plate to buy, the old one is spot welded into place, drill the spots out and just use some self tapping screws to hold it in while you drive.
Which side is that on. I have a brand new passenger side tray I bought from Hawks I will sell you for what I have in it shipping and all. Pm me for details.
