i have checked a few places around wonderful yuma, az. and i have a little bit of work to be done, but i am getting quotes of 5 grand or more for a paint job. the last place i went to, the paint and the racing stripes were gonna be about $4200. seems kinda steep to me. does this seem reasonable? or is it just out right too much?? if any one has some pics of the work they had done, and about what they paid, it would be greatly appreciated. once i get this car domain site up, i will post some pics of my beast..

 

that sounds about right. expect to pay around 5k for a decent paint job. and if you are putting racing stripes on it that will bump the price up even more(way more time involve, plus the extra material). when i did my car it didnt cost me a penny. i did all the prep/body work myself. the materials alone were about a grand. keep in mind that i used to paint cars all day every day, thats why it didnt cost me anything . but in all reality, 3-5k is about the going rate for an overall paint job.
