Removing stock hood vents and painting hood Black

Ok so I need to paint my hood because it got faded by a car cover I used. So my car is red and I was wondering if anyone here has or have sean a thirdgen with a flat black hood. I can get paint that will match but I would like to know if it would look good. I also want to know how to remove the fents in the front and side of the hood so I can paint them properly and also paint the grill under them black. So if any help could be given that would be great.

Thanks,

Bshade

Side vents just pop out, there's clips on one side. The fronts have two nuts each, they have corrisponding holes in the hood to access them.
