Ground Effects

I have an 87 Camaro and I want to put ground effects on it. I have the ground effects for the rocker panel, and I went to the junkyard today b/c there was a camaro there with the ground effects mounting brackets on it that I needed. I noticed that there was also a piece on the door. Do I need that piece? And how do I get that off? I dont know what year the rocker panel gorund effects were from, I know it's an R/S though. The car at the junkyard is an 86-87 Z-28.

hey man you need to cut those brackets off and weld them to your rocker panels.... they are very important....im sure you dont want to crack or snap your GFX when you get out of the car.....

I was just going to bolt the brackets onto the rocker panel and bolt the ground effects to the like you are supposed to do. But I was asking If you needed the piece on the door, and after some searching of some pictures I think I need it. Now how do I get the piece off that is on the door?

alright you have to take off the door panels, then the plastic behind it, if its anything like my car is missing completly. makes it easier.... along the bottom of the door on the inside there are bolts. i beleive they are either a 10mm or a 3/16 socket. theres also one on each end of the door. youll see what i mean. there easy to take off. ill try to find a pic for ya man....
