power seats in a 1989 Firebird Formula 350

my moms boyfriend is installing power seats he just ordered into his firebird. he can get power to them but he wants to do it properly, so that the seats work and it doesnt mess anything else up. so where should he splice/tap into the power? i hope someone can help me out.

I tapped into the cigarette lighter wire for positive power and used the chassis for the ground.

On some years the harness and connector may be there already.Have you checked under the carpet on the driver's side?If not,as Zepher stated,the ground wire is simple,could use one of the seat studs.You could run the pwr feed from the fuse panel along the factory wiring.
