Ive got an 83 z-28 i bought last year and i have the original jack and spare tire. however i can't figure out what the jack was held onto or where it bolts 2. anyone know the correct placement. when i got it it was just all sitting on the bottom. it is the small 12In screew jack.

 

I too have an '83 and when I got her I was in a similar boat except I had no spare.Thanks to a fellow TGO member I got the later model inflatable spare/bottle plus the hardware.The pic I posted is off of Ebay.I take it your jack instructions are gone.The insulation had come off the spare tire cover but the instructions were still attached.You can get reproductions of them.And hopefully someone can post a pic of thier spare well.
