Window motor?

Window motor?

Hey guys i have a huge problem.

THe passenger door window is taking a lot longer to go down then the driver side door window.

Is there any way to fix this like do i have to buy a new window motor?
please any information will be useful.

you could try cleaning the plug connections to the window motor.

Use google and do an advanced search for a post that Vader made or replied to.

It goes into detail on how to refurb the brushes in the motor and make them work like new.

Someone here might have it linked and hoepfully respond.

Axle/Gears: 10 bolt, true-trac, 3.73
I gave a quick rundown in a recent thread in the tech/engine forum...
check your switches, like pop one out and jump the terminals, see if it's any faster.
then if not, remove your door panel, remove the cap on the motor, and replace the brushes. Clean and lube your tracks and you'll be 100% better.
Motors don't wear out really, just the brushes, save the $75 on a motor and just find some brushes.

Thanks everyone hopefully this weekend if its nice i can get out there and get it done because ladies dont like when it takes like 1 full minute to get your window down..not cool
