removing windows from doors without breaking
Since the search is down... I've got manual crank windows and need to remove them for paint and welding. I can't really tell where to start. I know how to get the triangle piece out from the front with the track but can't figure out where to go from there.

Remove the door panels and locate the rivets that attach the glass to the regulator - drill them out with the window partially "up" while a friend is holding the glass and it'll slide right out.
There are also 4-5 bolts under the door panel that attach the regulator/window assembly to the door that need to be removed. Get it out, clean it with laquer thinner, and lubricate the tracks with lubriplate before reassembly. You will need 1/4" rivets and rivet gun (expensive) to reattach the glass to the regulators and install them as an assembly if possible.
