As Usual; SEARCH is out when I need it! Front Spoiler cross-use?

I have an 88 IROC. It appears that the front lower spoiler and/or bumper covers are different on the 1991 & 1992's. Will just the bottom spoiler peice bolt right up to my 88 bumper and look right??? (There's one for sale nearby and I need to know rather quickly).

If the front bumper cover is also different, where are the changes located?? And with the bottom lip, besides the openings at the fenderwells, is it 'deeper' or differently shaped?? Ect.

Anyone who can give me a quick primer; it will be majorly appreciated. Hopefully the 'Search' engine will come back up soon!!! Nitro

the 91-92 chin spoiler will bolt up to your bumper with now problems at all. bumpers only changed on camaros 82-84 (1st style) and 85-92 (2nd style). you have the second style so you will be fine.

RE: Front bumper cover differences, 88 & 91???

It has been my understanding that the 1991 model year GM revised the front fascia. I'm looking through my notes and I believe it was part of the new Z28 package that replaced the IROC model.

The only thing I'm actually visually seeing from photo's, is that the front air inlet area with the fog lights changed the emblem from 'camaro' to just a wordless chevy cross badge????? (sorry about this, it's just been to many years since I owned a Camaro)

I believe that the bumper has not changed since 85, however, the fenders changed for 91 & 92 (mounting holes for front ground effect were moved.)

RE: switching front spoiler lip over to newer design

That's good to know it'll work. I really like the look of the newer ground effects over my factory IROC's, and this one that I'll now purchase is beautiful compared to mine that's spider cracked worse than a plumber's butt.

JIMP; were you the one that is thinking of adding a blue stripe of some sort to your ride???
