I have been rethinking this paint thing.. I was originally going to do a dark Fuschia color, really pretty color but I don't think the deep pink is the way to go, not to mention the paint testing seems to make the lines of the car disappear. You just get this pink blob kinda..

So I was looking on the internet for some ideas and found a fourth gen in this Orange with Yellow pearl paint job,
Absolutely Beautiful. Now I know there is a 3rd gen with the paint job. I did a search but I can't seem to find it. If anyone can give me the right thread I'd appriciate it..

Try using this for your paint trials:

 

click on gt fiberglass to the right of the screen at the top. Nice looking firebird and about the same color

 

Thank you! I was driving myself crazy looking for that. I know it's been posted on the TGO boards as well. I have seen it in the What color to paint sticky, but I wasn't able to find it again. Thanks so much.

 

No problem, lotsa threads in the TGO boards, stuff naturally gets buried after a few days.

 

A TGO member now owns the G&T Fiberglass firebird now I think.

 

the one I have of the 4th Gen is a PPG owned car and it was displayed at the 1999 TA Nationals. I thought it was gorgeous. then when i was looking at the What color to paint I saw a third Gen in there with the same paint and it was just beautiful. I don't know if I want to do orange though. I was thinking of doing Yellow with Purple pearl to that same effect. If anyone has seen this or has tried it can you show me or tell me how it went. I was thinking Yellow and Purple or Yellow and Blue.. I was trying to get the effect in Photoshop but I can't seem to figure that out. If anyone else can I'd be grateful. Or else I am gonna have to jsut try it on a old fender and see how it comes out. I just don't want it to be hideous.
