i had this problem on the rear hatch before..and i as soon as i took them off i could push them in myself so i knew that they were shot...but the hood ones i cant even budge..but yet they still barely hold my hood up...any ideas? think there shot?

 

If they won't hold the hood up it's a pretty good conclusion that they are shot. They are like $15 a piece at Autozone.
