molding ideas
I actually like having the side molding on my doors, but I got to thinking what newer style side moldings could be used in place of what is there. so I thought what cars have similar length doors? obviously the first one that jumps out at me is 4th gen moldings. so I guess my question really is, what is the difference in door lengths from 3rd to 4th gens? also do they attach the same way? what other two door cars have similar length doors?

You could always find a molding you like (most likely they come in rolls) and then cut it at an angle(s) to create a front and back. Door length on 4th gen vs. 3rd gen is about the same, or at least from what I remember when working on a 4th gen.
The 4th gen firebird door molding is exactly the same length on the door as the door molding on the door on a third gen. I've measured them to make sure. They will work on a 3rd gen. I am planning on using them. I'm going to buy them new from gm so i get the adhesive backing on them.
