Body gap b/t tail lights?!

I was looking at the back of the IROC yesterday, and I noticed that there is quite a space b/t where the edge of the taillights sit and the edge of the body.

Is it suppose to be like that?!

20years o wear. No they arent suppose to be like that despight the fact that there is a small bevel where they meet. Try buying some replacement taillights on ebay but compare to another iroc first just for verification.

I have yet to tear into the plastic to remove the lights, but they seem to be secured pretty well.

Wierd.

If you mean the gap just under the spoiler. There is suppose to be a rubber gasket there. If not then you'll have a gap.Along the underside though, yes theres should be a gap.

Thats not a gap.If you mean why the lense is NOT flush with the body.Everyone that ive ever seen is this way.I suppose its a buffer.Incase something taps your panel it doesnt contact the lense.Possibly cracking/breaking it?
