making stripes
when i paint my car i want to do stripes also.. now i alrdy did a test paint job on a pos geo so now im ready to paint my iroc.. so if u guys can give me some tips an maybe demension for the stripes that would be cool.. its also a cowl induction hood if that makes it anyharder. an i have a 5 inch highrise too

Well, paint the color for the stripes first. Then tape them off and paint the rest of the car. It depends on what kind of stripes you're putting on for us to give you dimensions. If you're doing racing stripes just look at some pictures and get a good feel for where they go, and then tape them off to whatever looks good to you. Remember measure twice, cut once. I didn't, and one of my stripes is a 1/4" bigger than the other.
But no one notices so it's all good.
And be careful with the tape, it can pull your fresh paint right off.
*edit: Don't let the tape sit on the car too long before you paint it. The drying paint will "atomize" (something like that) and lift the tape off of the surface and give you leaks.
