Auto meter gauge trouble

Well i got my auto meter gauges and will be posting pictures after they are hooked up. My question for now is: Is there enough 12v power coming out of the stock hotwire in the gauge harness for my new speedo and transmition line to electrical sender? I have everything hooked up but my gauge does come up at all. Not only does the speed not go up but the odometer doesnt even light up or show signs of power. Help!

No I asumed the groud was good...I am going to let the shop install my tact speedo and fuel gauge(including sender). I'm no electrician and dont feel like blowing up $300 worth of stuff... I did all the custom fab mounting ect thats enough to make it my own. I'll post pictures when done.
