91 headlight switch wont come out of dash

91 headlight switch wont come out of dash
i am trying to put in my white guages and i cant get my switch of the cluster! I pulled pretty damn hard on it.any help would be great

You have to reach up from the bottom of the dash and push on a small button at the bottom of the light switch. It's there, and it's the only way to get that switch head out (without breaking the entire switch and half the dash). It's way up in there, from the bottom of the dash - it's a major PITA, but it's the only way.

If you have or can look at a haynes or chilton, it tells exactly what you have to do to get it out. I did it before but that was quite awhile ago and I can't remember how exactly it goes.

Sorry to bring this back from the dead, but I have had mine out b4, and now it won't come out, even with pressing that button. Is there a little trick or something else I can do? I tried for about 15 min the otherday.
