shift idicator.

My shift indicator is 1 gear off. N is OD and so on. It was like that when I bought the car last week, and after taking the console off.I lined up the shifter with the shift plate, and tried to see if there is something that stops it from sliding up, but couldn't find anything. Is there a piece that keeps it from moving?

There is a adjustment on the cable that connects to the trans.Put the trans in N,loosen the nut, alighn the shifter to N,tighten the nut. This should help,if not then something else is wrong!maybe someone else has help after this.

I fixed it a few days later, the indicatior lens was just stuck up a little higher than it should have been, once I took the lens off, and put it back in right, it lined up
