86 Z28 got it Tuesday! What ya think?

Carb- 305, 5 speed, No rust or filler, under the car is pretty clean , good floorboards, flowmaster, Grant steering wheel, just installed a nice tight steering column seller bought on e-bay $250. Part of the deal was we installed it and came with the car $1200. Needs paint job and the trunk hatch latch thing that closes the hatch when ya close the trunk. I'd like to paint the same color and the rims to match in gold. Anyone know what color it is? He said very few painted this color less than 150 if I remember correctly. Tires are Goodyear Eagle GT II look nice but tread is a little worn of course. No power windows or locks and I only have ignition key no doors or trunk so I will have to re key it. Interoir is not bad but a little dirty. Headliner has been restored nice. No leaks under car on the floor. Runs great and all gages work 112k miles. May need a starter soon, it turns over slow sometimes but has a new battery. A/C unit is missing from just out of the firewall. There is a ticking coming from a bad pin in the heat risor or whatever its called on the passengers side under the hood down low on the motor. All electronics work except rear window brake light is out and the wiper switch will wash and wipe windows but not turn on regular wipers. There must be power to it but the twist part of the switch isnt working. Here are a few pics.

Looks like my cars twin, I have an 86 Z28 camaro, hardtop, same color combo, manual windows/locks, AC delete and no rear defrost. Its a 5spd carbed 305 just like yours. Do you have the 145 speedo? If so it was a late 86 car, mine has one. other than that, looks like a great starter for the price, i paid 800 for mine but it had some cancer and some holes in the floor. i picked mine up in Auburn IN couple months ago. Good luck with the car, looks good

Thanks for the fast reply. I love the color but whats it called? I will repaint the same and wheels probably gold or black. I have the 85 mph speedometer, bummer. The interior is a gold tan color. I don't really like it but others do. It goes well with the car though, shows dirt easy. Door panels are nice but the carpet and seats need cleaned up or covered/ replaced. My door arm rests are beginning to warp a little and are known for that. The driver side window has about 1/4 inch gap between the weather strip seal and the glass. I think it just needs an adjustment because the gap is on the straight part of the window running up and down towarts the rear of the car. It seems to have moved forward a bit. Send some pics of yours !
Thanx!

According to the paint book i have, it should be called "flame red poly" paint code 74. I will be repainting mine a different shade of red, i dont think ill keep my gfx gold, ill probably paint the whole car the same color.

I think gold rims would look better than black, it would match the combo much better. JMO though

Car looks good and very clean. I have the 85mph speedo as well, don't like it either, I have it pegged out most of the time I'm driving it.
