Disconnect Battery - remove 4 hex head bolts on back of steering wheel, pull out airbag, unplug airbag and remove steering wheel as normal.

Why would you want to remove it?
It may save your life.

Just wondering,

reason

i need to tighten up the column, it jigles a little bit. Also the airbag doesnt look right... it doesnt sit flush with the steering wheel, i am not sure if it is supposed to be like that or not.

The top corners always seem to stick out abit, so that's normal I guess.

I dont think they came like that from the factory, I have seen pics of cars with out the corners warped and man do they look so much better then mine... I think there might be a way to wire up the newer 4th gen airbag up in our cars and make it work search around you might find an answer.

Can you take out the airbag and assemble the wheel again like normal and still have a good looking gutted out airbag wheel?
