Door rattle
I recently installed 2 new doors on my 85 Berli from an 89 IROC. I have the gaps, and the window seals perfectly alligned. However, when I close my driver door, I can push on it , and move it about a quarter of in inch in and out. I loosened the striker and pushed it as far in as it would go, it helped some but the problem still exists. It is just really annoying, because when I go over bumps, my door rattles in and out. Is there any way to adjust this?

The striker should be adjusted to get the door flush with the quarter. There are two little rectangular rubber bumpers that mount above and below the striker that might be missing and causing your rattles.

Figured it out. The little rubber wedge that mates witht the metal wedge was not making contact, due to excessive clearance. I looked at the old door which I had removed, and I saw that it had little plastic spacers under the rubber, wehreas my new door didnt. I took it and the spacers, and put it on the new door. Now there are no problems
Thanks, hope someboldy finds this useful eventually
