Axle/Gears: don't know.....stock
installing door handles

hello....first post....i have a 91 rs i am rebuilding with my son.....he took off the hanles and now we don't know how to put the clips and rods together inside the door!!!....how is this done?...where is a good place to get a diagram or big veiw of the inside of a door??....by the way the car is all original 123000 miles in the family since new!!!!..thank you

thank you so much!!!...where can i get a manual like that??....my rod does not have threads for a nut??....and it is the outside one.....just got the car back from paint

Uhhh ... if I remember right, its just a push nut that goes on there. been a while since I had mine off.

As for the service manual, I got mine from Helm (www.helminc.com). I got lucky as they were running a sale on it right after I got my 91 Z, paid like $60 for it. Other than that, check around eBay, hell I've even seen some at garage sales.

thanx again man....i found some slip nuts....he took it apart...i get to put it together.....what a deal.....now if i can figure out the best way to get it all in there....my hands don't fit to well....maybe you put the rod on then feed it throught he door????......thanks again

I think the rod just snaps onto the plastic clip thats attached to the handle. At least thats how mine worked.

Anyway, the handles are a very simple task. But they're still a pain in the ***! You'll figure something out eventually.
