Will a cluster from a 1993 z28 fit into a 1994 trans am dash? , etc.. Which is the best cluster to get 93-97 wise from what I have gathered.

Only a 97 camaro cluster will fit in a 4th gen firebird dash.

shoot. A 97-02 will fit but only a 97 camaro v8 cluster will work correctly in a 4th gen firebird dash with a V8 unless you have a LS1.

Thats what i meant...i think

yep, 98-02 went serial data I believe for most of the instruments on the cluster.
I had a 97 Z28 cluster and we tested it in my brothers 96 Trans Am and I can't for the life of me remember which gauges worked correctly and we can't try it anymore since his 96 is basically a 98. He put the entire engine and body harness from a 98 Z28 into his 96 in preparation for the LS1 that is going in as soon as the machine shop is done with the motor.
We still have to figure out how to incorporate the headlight module into teh harness so the lights pop up.
