Carnage.
No not on my car!
On the $400 RS camaro...
Well as you can see, this is the latest project me and my gf are working on. Giving my car a break...but we pulled some nice black carpet from the junkyard along with sail panels and a good black headliner. Well i ripped it all out today and heres what i found. The car has always stunk and the hatch used to fill with water. I dont think it does anymore since i fixed the power hatch but i wont know till it rains. As you can see this carpet is so far shot beyond beilief it was kinda discusting to sit in the interior of the car. The driver side seat we got a nicer grey one for free from a buddy up north of us but we are looking at another set of 4th gen seats in the yard with some minor fading. Anything is better then stock. All the grey panels will be cleaned throughly and possibly painted depending on how they turn out. We found so much interesting(and discusting stuff) over the course of pulling everything out. You may ask why the seats were put back in, its so she can drive the car to and from work this week. Yes i labled the gears for her...JUST FOR REFERENCE she doesnt actually need them she says...lol.
We get to sanding this week i may post some pictures back if i get the chance. Enjoy!

Nice car! and I mean that, I think I have its brother. mine is a '89 RS 5 sp,
same color. apears to be about the same condition. mine had a black interior however. my rear area carpet was soaked with gear oil ( 90 wt, the reason is that is what was in the World class t-5 when it failed) that is a smell you do NOT get rid of. I scored a nice black carpet off of E-bay.
Good luck and keep us posted!
