3rd gen power windows are the same power window motor GM used for about 30 years, on virtually every car..... Problem is, 3rd gens have very large (heavy) side windows, and the wiring is old and corroded, the tracks have no lubrication, are out of alignment, and the power window brushes are worn down to nubs.
They can be restored to new shape, and you probably don't even have to replace the motor itself.

There are also two felt brushes on the top of the door frame.Remove the dooor panel & you will see them.If you roll the window half way down & check the glass for adjustment. If its tight this will slow down the window quite a bit.Loosen the bolts on the felts & adjust them so the window has just a tiny amount of slack. This will leave the window slightly loose at the top & slightly tight at the bottom.
