My passenger side power window works sometimes... then just dosen't at other times. I've slammed the door and had it work but this last time it's dead... i've checked the connections on the motor and they're fine, everything else looks ok, the switches are new.

When it does work, it's just as fast as it was new, no grinding/stalling etc...


Any pointers?

Sounds like a bad motor to me.

 

yep, bad motor. Mine was doing the same thing. If you hit the motor with something like a screwdriver it will probably start working again...like hitting a dying starter to get it to work, same thing. I just replaced it recently, and it wasn't hard at all so if you never replaced one before, don't be intimidated. This was my first one and it took me about an hour.

 

lol, i have no problem getting the door skins off... most of the plastic tabs are missing anyways

Anyways, it wouldn't work during the day today.. but when i left work after midnight it worked fine.. lol

I'll try to sneak out to the JY and pick up a new motor.
