anyone us a rotissierie

has anyone used a rotisserie to paint or strip their car? I'm in the process of building one but trying to decide what to use to rotate the car. I.E. a winch or gear. looked at the ones you can buy and haven't found one yet that has anything of the sort, so is it even necessary? What about some kind of braking mechanism? This is what i have so far. Both peices are sitting in front of my car waiting on me to finish them.

Sorry pics a lot bigger than i thought it was.....

i'll be using one in the future so i can finish the underside of my car and paint it. I found a blueprint on how to make one for about $400 and that's what i'll be using. but as far as i know there is no gear to turn it, but theres a brake to hold it in place.

didn't use any blue prints...... made one 6' wide the other 5'.
The legs are 4' long, and the center arm is 4' tall. all made with 2x4 steel and 400lb casters. I also made some braces for the center arm but i can't remember how long they are. U can see them in the picture

its a little overkill but i wanted to be able to put anything i ever wanted on it and it hold up. I think one end would be plenty strong to hold the tub

i haven't made it yet(i'm in the military and only travel home once every couple of months), I'm planning on using some zr2 s10 hubs and welding a sprocket on the cv end and then using a boat winch with another sprocket and a bicycle chain to rotate the car. and on the rotor side of the hub, i will bolt up the fixture to hold the car, that way i can unbolt it and us another one for various other things i might use the rotisserie for. not sure if this is the way to go but i have most of the stuff.
