First time restoration help.
First time restoration help.
This is my first car and its needing a bit of body and interior work. There is a long list of mostly minor things il be back here asking about in the future. I want to start with the flipin headlight on the passanger side. When its closed it sinks too far down into the body (below the front bumper) and seems to be not aligned properly. I looked around at the assembly but I cant see anything wrong. It still flips up/down at the same speed as the other light. Its just anoying, the one "obvious" imprfection on the body. Any Ideas?

One other thing I should mention while im here.... The nose peice of the body has some cracks forming. Some of my friends who know a little about body kits on rice rockets tell me to just buff it out with a layer of wax. I might try that unless its a bad idea. If it dosent work, dose anyone know of a place to buy a new nose for a 91 TA?

welcome to the board. the headlight top is a pretty easy fix. if you take off the shroud that covers the front you'll find bolts that hold the top on. 2 in the front and 2 in the back. try loosening them and adjusting it. if it still doesn't look good you may need to align the fender and front nose a bit. you were a little vauge about the cracks you're dealing with. it may just be cracks in the clear coat and paint, or it could be the bumper cover itself cracking. need better pictures.either way not hard to fix. if it's cracks in the cover a little body filler will help that when you go to repaint it.

Welcome to the site.
Cant help you with the headlight as i am a camaro owner rather than a t/a.
But, for the small spider cracks you have there, they are the clear coat. the front clip of my car has them too, you can take off the front clip, sand it down, repaint it and bang, its all gone.
Good luck with the restoration

Alright the light sounds like it should be no problem. Sry about being vague with details concerning the cracks, I dont know much about body work and stuff. Anyways im starting to think that they r just cracks in the clear coat. It dosent creek or feel weak.

Yeah,
if it was a full out crack, which i have in my front clip, then you would forsure be able to feel movement. Im just going to plastic weld and body fill the front clip so its better
