rear console

i have a 91 rs and im looking for a option on a rear console with cup holers and a arm rest i did a search it came up with stuf but nothing that caught my eye i was thinking about making one out of wood but i cant do any cloth work and probably wouldnt look right anyways but have an old messed up 3rd gen console but i dont know if it would look right any ideas would be appriciated oh and im 16 so theres not a lot of mony in my wallet

your best bet for something that would look remotly stock would be a 4th gen console with the cup holders in the back(or was it just an opening...) either way...check out the "4th gen interior/exterior compatability" sticky.

yeah i did but id have to hack up the original to keep the hvac and sterio cause it conected to the console not the dash but thanks i just dont trust myself enough

that's one of the things that kept me from doing the 4th gen swap in my 91 bird. I didn't want to chop up the original incase I wanted to go back to it.

does any one have an idea towards how to put a 4th gen con in my car and keep the radio and hvac and do any of you think that if i put two third gen console and cut the back one to fit from the original to the seat and drilled holes for cup holders and what knot i even had an idea for the emergency brake spot i could turn it into somthing like a mag or map holder the only thing is is that i cant keep my car a my house i have to keep it at my grandads house and can only get to his house on the weekend so does any one have an measurments of this that would be great
