Floor paint

Ok, so I've just finished caging my car, and I've decided to leave the carpet out. I had to clean up some rusty parts on the floor (where moisture had been trapped under the carpet), and now I'd like to repaint those areas to match the rest of the floor of the car. You know, that grayish color.

Have any of you repainted your floor to match the factory color of the floor?

What type/color of paint works best?

I am going to do the same thing with my car and I was just going to use black paint but I am putting carpet back in. You could use what ever color you wanted but you will probably have to paint the whole floor.

I don't plan on reapinting the entire floor, just looking for a close approximation of the existing floor color so my interior doesn't have that "calico" look.

Anyone?

use spray paint that is similar... It will work fine, it obviously doesnt have the UV protection of a real paint but since it is going on an ugly floor use cheap paint... and when you scratch it or something touch ups will be a breeze.
Use duplicolor cans from walmart

you might want to look at rustoleum high performance enamel. Stuff is tougher than nails and is available in spray cans, quarts and gallons at Home Depot, Lowe's, etc.
