Front grd fx glue

Im knee deep in the prepwork to paint my 92 firebird

Something I noticed as i snapped both front ground effects, was that they were supposed to be removed WITH the nose, and the mount between them and the nose is weak (broken now)

I see that these grd fx are commonly destroyed so I was wondering...

Using this
https://www.thirdgen.org/forums/body...swork-out.html

Why not glue and reinforce the grd fx to the nose and fill the seam?

What are some pro's and cons I might run into

I will already be repairing ALL of the mounting tabs already

Well, if you scrape the front GFX piece on something, which you most likely will, is that glue going to hold up? I'm thinking it will fall off quicker than a Honda bumper...

I used some epoxy, I got at autozone for polyurethan/plastic , and put tons in the crack I had on my front GFX, and then one day a couple weeks later it was just gone nothing I have no clue on what happened to it but Im guessing it just fell out or something

I weighed the $60 tube of special epoxy for plastic bumpers vs $200 in NOS front ground effects and bought the new ones rather than risk them failing in a lil while
