rear window defroster and tint question

rear window defroster and tint question
has anyone ever installed a rear window defroster kit, like the one at jcwhitney called clearview I believe, and then installed tint film over it? My '84 z28 has neither right now and I would like the best of both worlds. Am I asking for problems? Should I just pick one or the other?

I've got stock defrosters with tint. That tint is probably two years old and is still holding up. My car is garage kept though.
