Impact Bar Mounting points?

As I was pulling apart the front end of my car today, I finally found out the extent of the damage that the front corner collision was from a previous owner. I had suspected there was an accident cause the passenger side fender was a different color than the rest of the car and the passenger side corner of the hood, towards the front of the car, was slightly damaged as well. Here are the pictures:

I checked out the rest of the front end and that's the only part that is damaged. The wheel wells and everything else around it look fine, it's just that left piece where the impact bar mounts to. Obviously I have to replace it, and since it's a solid piece that runs back towards the middle of the car, I'll have to cut it off and weld a new one on. Or is there another way to replace it that I'm overlooking?

Would it just be easier to go to a junkyard and cut one off a third gen they have there and replace it that way? Any comments/suggestions are welcome as always.
