Paint Code Location

Where can I find the paint code location on my '86 S/C? I've looked everywhere I would know, inc. the drivers door, under the hood, radiator mount (Haynes says that there should be a plate there, but there isn't ?

Look under the center console lid or on the inside of the locking cover in the hatch area.

I've always got my color codes off the RPO sticker in the car, either under the lid of the center console or under the lid of the rear console (drivers side in rear hatch). Should be at the bottom of the RPO sticker under all the RPO's. Might also be on the sticker on the Drivers door by the latch. The code will say BCCC and then have a set of 4-6 numbers, stands for Base Coat Clear Coat. If you can't find the code on your car then next best thing is to get a picture taken and post it and ask other members here with the same factory color to check for their codes.
