Thanks man! So, the remaining pieces of the puzzle are:

Intake manifold
Driveshaft
DFI computer and harness (FAST or Big Stuff 3)
Billet Specialties Tru-Trac pulley system (still not available) http://www.billetspecialties.com/ite...d=182&pid=1050
Wiring and more freakin' wiring.....
Fuel line (hard & flex) & regulator install
Brake line install (bend & flare)
Radiator (already have, BeCool)
and whatever else I need to make it run. Once I get it running I will do the following:

Rework the door panels. They are too bulky especially the lower part where the long pockets are. Then recover door panels.
Finish pass side A-pillar
Cover a-pillars with suede to match headliner
Install stereo, amps and sub.

And there is more, but I am not too far from turn'n the key.

what kind of cooling are you going to run with your radiator? A dual fan setup?

Oh yea and will you have to run racing gas with 11.6:1?

I will be using the dual fan setup (which I previously had) from a C5 corvette, though I will fabricate a nice shroud for it

As for gas, I'll dump race gas in her at the track and use 93 for the street. The LS setup should be able to handle that compression on 93, but we'll see!

Red Dragon 85, too funny! and who is the clown who posted below you??? 1bad91z needs a kick in the *******! LOL

Here's a primer pic of what she'll look like (without the nitrous lines though). When I do eventually add N2O, i'll probably plumb my lines a little differently.....a little cleaner.

Hey, Juan Valdez called......... He said he needs his mufflers back, the donkey wont pass emissions!

Okay, okay.... last one..... lol

Dont even put the tips on if you're having trouble with them. When you bring it down, Jim and I will take care of the spare tirewell mod and we put a decent set of mufflers on.

By then, your tru-trac should be in.

Will the range rover tow the car with a trailer? I hope so, cause I wouldn't recommend breaking in the motor on that long of a trip......

You are dead to me!
As for towing it down, not so much. I am going to drive it down and as for the mufflers they might be on for a while. Not concerned about them especially since when the car is on the ground you can barely see them. To much other study to worry about buying......DFI, computer, True Trac, etc.....oh and stereo, ya feel me dawg? By the way, your paws aint comin close to my ride....Juan Valdez, A-hole

LOL

Come on, you know it was good! After all the cash you spent, you needed the comic relief. The decision was: build a thirdgen or support a third world country for 3 years.......... same $$$$ !!

Since we were talking about fittings earlier, you did use 1/2 inch AN's, right?

And you know you'll let me drive it once!

I will post video after I buy a video camera, which will be in a few weeks. For now, here are some more still photos of the brake line progress, granted it wasn't much but I made some progress. So, from left to right, this is the standard brake line flare tool which will make double flares, however, it SUCKS for stainless steel. The pic in the center is the best flare I was able to make after almost "pitting in my shants" because I was turning so hard. The last pic is the resulting broken tip on the flare tool.

This new hydraulic flare tool works amazingly well and it was so easy to do. With very little effort I was able to make a near perfect double flare on the first try. Here are pics of the kit and 1st test flare.

Here's the first line I bent and flared. FYI, I will be cleaning and repainting the rear end housing in time.

Why double flares? Shouldnt you be using Metric bubble flares given you are using an LS1 master and prop valve and new Vette brakes?

Are you able to sneak the drive shaft up under the car with the exhaust like that?

Yeah, I think I will be able to, if not, dropping the x-pipe won't be that big of deal.

The hard line I am using is 3/16" and the fittings for that line and junction blocks, etc. require double flares for proper seating. The calipers use the banjo style bolt to attach the ss braided brake line. I'll keep you posted with the rest of the brake line installation.

Sorry Neil, not trying to pick holes - just trying to understand better myself.. So you are saying that 87+ models use a double flare to connect to the prop valve/master cylinder?

When I mentioned the Vette brakes, i was really referring to the other end of the flex hose - I figured that the hard line end would be setup to accept a bubble flare rather than a double flare? Like I said, just trying understand a bit better myself since I am doing my brake lines the easy way (Ordered a set of SS from inline tube ) and want to make sure I wont get any leaks when i put it all together

Thanks,
Richard.

Ricco, no worries ask away! As far as the lines I am using I bought universal ss braided flex line for all four calipers and the ends which thread in are compatible with male 3/8"-24 hex fittings which slip on the hard brakeline. Hope that makes sense. As far the the master cylinder I am using it is made by Stainless Steel Brake Corp. and it has a built-in proportioning valve. I am not sure what size those fittings are (as I haven't worked my way up to the front of the car yet). As far as the items you ordered I would verify with inline tube what flares you need. GM typically opted for 3/16" hard line and the double flare is what I have always made for my car even with the factory brake setup. Let me know what they say.

I guess I will see when my new lines turn up.. Although I am pretty sure at least some of the fittings on my 92 are metric bubble flares. Thanks!

Ricco, I made a mistake earlier in the hard line size I am using...it is 3/16" hard line with 3/8"-24 Hex nuts. Sorry about that!

The driveshaft arrived today! It's the Denny's Nitrous Ready 3" steel shaft. Now, let's hope it fits!!!

No worries Neil. My new SS hardlines turned up the other day and they are indeed all metric bubble flares. I got my SS flex hoses from Ed and they look to be the same as the old rubber hoses so maybe I will shoot him a PM to satisfy my curiosity
