Yeah, that is very nice; however, when I talked to Wilson a while back they said 1) that manifold is recommended for high rpm race applications (it will make most of it's power north of 6,000 rpm) and it will definitely hurt low end torque because of it's design...definetely hurting driveability and 2) they don't custom make manifolds like Hogan does at least they did not inform me if they do.
Basically, Hogan will design the intake to allow for peak torque and HP with the design I like. So that is what I will do. The Marcella manifold is sweet no doubt, but I will most likely go with Hogan.

are you planning on keep the intake finish normal, or possibly powdercoating to spruce it up even more?

This Camaro beats it all, I must say! This setup is beyond most peoples dreams, congratulations.
I have one question though, is there a slight chance you have a picture of the removable roll cage crossbar in place? I´m trying do decide which road to take in my 89RS. Thank you,

Aren't you going to be afraid to have this beautiful machine in a parking lot? If I saw it I'd be tempted to run over and start dry humping the hood. I won't even comment on that nice big slot in the hood.
Awesome Car! Can't wait to see some videos and pics of the 4th phase... Rubber burning, corner carving, Small Children and Elderly scaring terror on 4 wheels... Ohhh yeaaa.

If you want to go with the polished manifold, why not go and get a clear powdercoat put on after u polish it, then it won't need to be polished again and will stay looking good. A few of my friends have done that with motorcycle frames and wheels

EDIT: make sure they know not to powder coat the sealing surfaces of the intake lol, i would think it would cause it not to seal as good.

Re: Phase I done, Phase II-interior almost done, and now Phase III-drivetrain (454 LS
So, here is what's new......I couldn't stand the thought of looking at the headlight/fuse-block power harness in the engine compartment so I banged my head on everything I could find in order to try and hide it. Here is what I came up with......I pulled the driver side fender and cut a hole in the under side of the fenderwell in order to route the harness. I knew it was going to be a tight fit (that's what she said
) when getting the harness mount (firewall side) through but it finally went with a little pushing, tilting and swearing. Then I routed the harness under the inner fender support and positioned the fuse boxes under the driver side battery tray or purge canister tray (see pics). Right now, I consider this a temporary fit since I used L-brackets and tie straps to mount everything, but it works and it's enough to get this thing running. I think I am starting to run out of patience and I can always go back and finalize this stuff later, I just want to drive it!!! To water proof the fuse/power distribution blocks, i'll seal it in with a plastic barrier and the plast inner fenderwell liner.

I don't think a clear powder coat will flake off or yellow, I'm not sure on the different brands of powders but im not sure it would make a difference, im sure whatever shop u get to do the coating will be able to help u pick a good one. Shouldn't cost you to much either, i was going to get the wheels powdercoated on my bike and i think it was something like $75 per wheel.

Since the harness is now routed, I then began hookin stuff up....headlights, parking lights, windows, door locks, power mirrors, door poppers and interior lights....and they all work

Just a thought, you may have done this already.... But i hope you put some kind of padding or protection around that harness coming out of the frame horn. The sharp edge will wear into those thin wires quite quickly otherwise.
Looking really sharp though. Almost done!

So Neil, is this car going to have a fully working OBDII system? As in have O2 sensors and the whole bit?

Yes, will have a fully functional OBDII system. At startup I plan to use the stock computer to make sure everything works, then I will go with a FAST or Big Stuff 3.

holy big pipes batman...
2" primaries?!?!?!

i guess backpressure is not one of your worries
lol
sweet.
then again, i think i remember you saying you are planning on 800 hp, so i guess 2" is justified then.
still...
thats huge.

The ground clearance doesn't look too bad, at least compared to others I've seen with long tubes. Can't wait to see this bad-boy done!!

Yeah, the ground clearance is a little better than the clearance I had with the Hooker long tubes, well at least it appears that way.

Not sure if I gave you his website so here it is. He is doing some fantastic work IMO, watching these headers come together from scratch is pretty cool. Anyway, here are the pics.

From here, the dual 3" will run along either side of the driveshaft and the current BMR transmission cross member will not work, so John will fabricate a new one which will tie into the subframe connectors as well as the factory cross member mount location. When he gets to that point i'll post more pics and also pics of how he's the exhaust pipes will go over the left and right axle housings!

dumb question, but are they going to be able to duplicate the headers, or could they? i know with computers and machines these days that save specs and digitize images.
if they made a set of 2" primaries, then 1 3/4 or 1 7/8 would be a no brainer.
not sure who many people would buy a set, but its a thought.

Well, I don't have a new pics of the interior but i'll give you an update. Just before I took the car to the fab shop, I cleaned up the interior and put both seats in. After getting the seats in, I noticed the T/A door panels are a little too wide....the door shuts with the seats in; however there is not enough room to even slide your hand down the side of the seat to adjust height and seat back angle. So, I will probably end up cutting off the bottom half of the panel and making my own with speaker pod, then covering with suede and leather.
The passenger side a-pillar is about 25% done, so have much more work to do on that.
Since the car hasn't been here i've been a little lazy and it's kinda nice. But, when I get to the shop next i'll see if I can shoot a few shots of the interior.
