to take door off..

Transmission: 700R4
Axle/Gears: unknown/mostlikelycrappy
to take door off..

on the lower hinge,
the 2 bolts that can be taken off from inside the car,
and there's 1 bolt that needs to be screwed off from outer side.

how do u all take that 1bolt off?
I mean, what kinda tool works the best?
Im struggling to take that one bolt out!! in advance.

I used a box wrench, removed the plastic shroud from under the fender, and took the bolt out from under the fender.

Do yourself a favor and stuff some rags down into the lower part of the fender from the door opening. In case you drop a door pin (as I did) you won't have to spend a half hour struggling to get it out.

thx for info guys..

I managed to take a door off of JY camaro,
but only becaz the door was kinda smashed and it had extra room around the hinge area.

now when I took the JY door off, the door literally just fell off so fast..

what kind of method do u guys recommend to hold the door when taking the door off?

i wish i had some1 to hold the door for me while I do these kinda job but I don't.. so

in advance.

Since you aren't likely to have a door hanging tool, there are a couple of other methods you can use solo. Method #1; Put a floor jack under the door, then put a ladder over the door so the "A" of the ladder is over the door. Stuff the area between the top of the door and the ladder with towels. Method #2, use an engine hoist (aka cherry-picker and nylon strap to lift the door.

am I better off just getting help?
will putting a floor jack on buttom of the door, and have someone just hold the door surface work? or is it gonna smash on the person holding them?

btw im looking forward to buying ur hinge kit soon
